Dear colleagues,
We herewith announce our 13th international ultrasound course, taking place in Berlin at the university teaching hospital Charité. Diagnostic ultrasound of brain supplying vessels has gained more and more importance in recent years. This is due to continuous advances in ultrasound systems and techniques which give us more and more insight into the sonographic vascular anatomy as well as cerebral hemodynamics. In this course we focus on intracranial vascular analysis of arteries and veins under physiological as well as pathological conditions. It aimes at colleagues, who would like to increase their knowledge and also their practical skills in Neurosonology. The course comprises theoretical lectures, extended tutored practicals with probands and patients as well as critical discussion in the context with other radiological modalities. The hosts have a long-standing teaching experience, holding annual ultrasound courses in Berlin as well as in other European cities since 1999. We thank Professor Dr. Karen Gertz – Dept. of Neurology at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin for her support, giving us the opportunity to continue the course at the Charité venue.
